About Bousquet Mountain :

Since 1932, the historical Bousquet Mountain has been a thriving ski desitnation in The Berkshire Mountains.

Originally, this site was a mink farm owned by Clarence J. Bousquet. When the Great Depression hit, Bousquet partnered with the Mount Greylock Ski Club, cutting a 750 ft. ski slope up the northern summit. Clarence was notable for being the inventor of the Rope Tow Griper (what protects riders’ hands and feet on the lifts) as well as the inventor of night skiing after partnering with General Electric in 1936. The ski development was declared “one of America’s finest” by The Hartford Courant, and the rest is history. To this day it’s the oldest ski area around, marking it’s significance in Pittsfield, MA. You can read more about Bousquet Mountain’s History here.

Staying at Silver Maple Farm:

After an all-day ski excursion, you’ll be craving some rest. Less than a 20 minute drive from the slopes, The Inn at Silver Maple Farm welcomes you with it’s small-town charm and warm hospitality. Not only does our property have a close proximity to the mountain, but it also has all the benefits of tranquil upstate country living. Warm by the fire while sipping a hot tea from the 24/7 beverage station, watch the snow peacefully fall as you read one of the books from our curated library, and let the day drain away with hot shower or bath. When the sun shines in the morning, enjoy a gourmet breakfast buffet and a daily hot item by out on site chefs (who are also the Inn Keepers, Chloe & Sean).

We look forward to hosting your next ski-weekend getaway.
